South Pacific Oil Limited is one of the largest Corporate Organizations in the Solomon Islands. It imports and sells petroleum products: unleaded petrol, Automotive Diesel, Jet A1 fuels and a large range of automotive, marine and industrial lubricants. It is 100% owned by the people of the Solomon Islands through their contribution to the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund.
South Pacific Oil Limited is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the Positions of; Accounts Receivable Officer
Summary of Key functions:
- Prepares posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as request
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and other staff.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Micro-Office suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage expectations
- Demonstrates negotiation, conflict management and analytical skills.
Qualification and Experiences:
Minimum Diploma in Accounting and or Business Management. Bachelor degree in Accounting and Business Management will be an added advantage. At least 3 years accounts receivable and sales/marketing experiences in debt recovery. Demonstrated knowledge in accounts receivable processes and procedures and relevant accounting software applications (SAP). Must be proficient in data entry and management. Possess a valid driving licence.
