Job Summary: The Security Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of Hatanga Ltd.'s premises, assets, employees, and visitors. This position entails supervising security employees, implementing security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and fostering a secure environment. The Security Supervisor reports directly to the Property Manager and collaborates closely with the security team.
Responsibilities:
(1.) Supervise Security Team:
- Lead, guide, and oversee security personnel in their daily tasks.
- Schedule shifts and assignments for the security team to ensure full coverage.
- Provide training and development opportunities for security employees.
(2.) Security Procedures:
- Develop, implement, and enforce security procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and control access to the company's facilities.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry security standards.
(3.) Incident Response:
- Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms promptly and effectively.
- Conduct investigations and report incidents to the Property Manager.
- Collaborate with external law enforcement agencies when necessary.
(4.) Security Assessments:
- Perform routine security assessments and risk evaluations.
- Make recommendations for security improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
(5.) Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, personnel activities, and equipment maintenance.
- Generate detailed incident reports.
- Provide regular security reports to the Property Manager.
(6.) Visitor Management:
- Verify the identity of visitors and ensure they adhere to company protocols.
- Issue visitor badges and maintain a visitor log.
- Assist with visitor inquiries and directions.
(7.) Emergency Preparedness:
- Plan and conduct security drills and training exercises.
- Ensure that emergency response plans are up to date and communicated effectively to all employees.
(8.) Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments and managers to ensure security measures are integrated effectively.
- Liaise with external security and law enforcement agencies when needed.
(9.) Team Development and Engagement:
- Foster a positive team culture, support individual growth, and ensure team members are motivated and engaged in their work.
(10.) Performance Management and Appraisal Compliance:
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring it is conducted on time, aligns with organizational goals and policies, and that appraisals are conducted timely and fairly.

- Security Knowledge: In-depth understanding of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Problem-Solving: Proficiency in addressing security challenges, making quick decisions, and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees and visitors.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail to maintain accurate records and respond to potential security risks.
- Emergency Response: Effective handling of security incidents, including timely decision-making and coordination.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with security equipment, security systems, including CCTV systems, alarms, and access control.
- Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, enabling effective cooperation with other departments and external authorities.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Security certifications or training is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift and carry moderate to heavy objects.
- Perform security-related duties in various weather conditions.
