We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced healthcare professionals to join Woodford to actively work with students as illnesses and alignments arise.
Job Duties.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children.
- Be responsible for professional, medical treatment of students.
- Be responsible for early detection of physical problems and health evaluations.
- Assist in promoting programs on health-education and immunization.
- Maintain clinical records.
- Coordinate vision, hearing, and orthopedic screening and health assessments.
- Provide emergency aid to students and school staff.
- Assist teachers in instructing students in health and nutrition education.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked sickbay.
- Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions.
- Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises.
- Contacting parents when students are ill or injured.
- Be fluent in English, oral and written.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changes with regards to distance learning if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of School.
Qualifications and Knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A certification or degree in nursing or another health-related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Empathetic and compassionate.
