BAT SOLOMON ISLANDS IS LOOKING FOR ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER

SENIORITY LEVEL : Management Level

FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Honiara, Solomon Islands

ROLE TYPE: Permanent role

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is a business partner to the company’s Manufacturing function and Supply Chain. The focus is to provide useful information to entail informed judgements in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain. As well as supporting these functions to manage affairs in an optimal manner to create shareholder value.

Reports to: Head of Finance

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDES:

• Prepare Operations Reports and Financial Analyses; identify exceptional operational issues for discussion and resolution.
• Collaborate with Head of Departments to capture financial insights and enhance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Excise requirements and manage changes related to new product launches.
• Establish controls over parts and materials and align OPS KPIs with prescribed methodology.
• Drive continuous improvement in Operations Finance Excellence Index.
• Enable the delivery of strategic initiatives and encourage proactive business support.
• Ensure effective resource allocation, risk management, and financial discipline.

• Foster alignment within the finance team and build relationships for overall effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

• Proven ability to successfully present & influence at Senior Management level.
• Advanced analytical, interpersonal, communication (oral & written), negotiation and planning skills
• Computer literate - Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Working towards advanced staff management capabilities
• University Degree in Accounting Business or Economics

• Diploma qualified in Business Finance (Distinction)
