VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Plan International Solomon Island Office is seeking to hire a full time Finance and Administration Officer. The role will provide support to Solomon Island, Honiara, will manage all finance management and administration supports. Prepare donor reporting and compliance, audit and capacity building and training. Collaborate with project managers interns of donors and other stakeholders to address financial informations. The role reports to Country Programme Manager, based in Solomon Island.
Do you have what it takes to be successful in this role?
- University diploma or degree in the relevant area such as but not limited to i.e. finance, accounting, economics or at least 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting, preferably within the international organizations.
- Strong knowledge of financial rules, regulations, and procedures is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial management software such as SAP/YODA and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of project management principles and experience working on donor-funded projects is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (both oral and written). Knowledge of local languages spoken in Solomon Islands is a plus.
- Experience working in delivering projects, preferably within the aid and development sector.
- Experience in supporting capacity-building of partner organisations; enjoys capacity building and training staff and partners.
