Administration Officer, Nauru

Looking for a Nauru Based enthusiastic Administration Officer who will be supporting day-to-day operations and administration of the Economic Governance Program and Partnership Platform activities in Nauru, including office administration, logistics, deployee support, local procurement and finance administration.

  • Full-time for 12 months, with an option to extend.

The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform (The Partnerships Platform) is looking for motivated and skilled professionals who are keen to make a difference. We seek passionate staff who work collaboratively to deliver ideas and advice that can help our Pacific Island Country partners meet their governance and stability goals.

The Partnerships Platform is seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Officer with a proven track record in providing administrative and project support to staff including but not limited to operations, logistics, finance administration and day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, respectful, flexible and resilient Administration officer with a keen focus on providing administrative assistance to both the Economic Governance Program and Partnership Platform activities in Nauru. The areas of focus of the assignment are:

  • Providing comprehensive operational and logistics support to deployees and visiting Partnerships Platform staff including orientation, staff movement and establishment in country.
  • Providing administrative and logistical support to the Nauru Economic Governance Program and Partnerships including office setup, administration and procurement.
  • Supporting the Economic Governance Program and Partnerships Platform team engagement with counterparts in-country and provide administrative support in setting up meetings and/or events as required. 
  • Supporting the development of networks and facilitation of opportunities under the Economic Governance Program and Partnership Platform including with government, civil society and the private sector.  

This is a full-time position based in Yaren, Nauru. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be a Nauru Citizen, or have the legal right to work in Nauru and are currently residing in Nauru.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in business administration, operations, project management or international development with some proven experience in similar role providing operations, administrative, deployee and logistics support. Including demonstrated knowledge showing Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and established networks within Nauru. Experience in liaising with a range of partners, stakeholders and vendors will be highly valued.
