Jones Lang LaSalle (ACT) Pty Ltd provides the outsourced Property Services Management for the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) global property portfolio.
The Pacific region of properties includes Wellington, Auckland, Noumea, Port Villa, Honiara, Tarawa, Pohnpei, Suva, Nuku’alofa, Apia and, Port Moresby.
Specific details relevant to this role include –
Job Title: Facilities Manager |
Location: Australian High Commission – Honiara, Solomon Islands. |
Employment Status: Full time. |
Hours of Employment: Your standard work hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. |
Direct Manager: Senior Facilities Manager – Pacific |
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Managing repairs and monitoring systems performance.
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of parts and ordering items as necessary.
- Overseeing and supervising the maintenance staff.
- Ensuring compliance with security requirements and safety regulations.
- Overseeing renovations and refurbishments.
- Providing advice on energy efficiency.
- Managing repairs and maintenance budgets, taking equipment audits.
- Contracting of nominated essential services.
- Coordinating the implementation of new projects with the Senior Facilities Manager.
- Manage key performance indicators.
Qualifications and skills:
- Knowledge of building management/engineering.
- Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting.
- Positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Previous experience in facilities management.
- Proficient with computers and relevant computer programs.
Salary and benefits
- Total Salary Package range dependent on skills/qualifications (incudes annual salary and superannuation).
- Communication allowance of TBA per annum.
- 4 weeks annual leave per year.
- Fully maintained commercial type vehicle
Prerequisites to applying.
It is a mandatory requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance
