About us

Catalpa is a global development organisation improving the lives of people. We design creative ways to tackle diverse problems, integrating technology and behavioural insights with locally-driven solutions.

We bring together people from unique backgrounds to work on meaningful projects—engineers, designers, education economists, public health researchers, and many others. Check us out at http://www.catalpa.io/ .

One of Catalpa’s key impacts has been making quality learning easy and accessible for low-resourced and hard-to-reach communities. Our work is innovative, one-of-a-kind, and pretty cool, honestly.

About the opportunities

We are picking up the pace with tendering for education and training projects this year, and as Catalpa continues to grow, so does our appetite for awesome talent.

We are bidding for upcoming education projects and are looking for people to join our talent pool. We seek experienced individuals for anticipated education projects in Solomon Islands.

We are specifically looking for people who have experience in primary, secondary, and second-chance education across areas such as:

  • Pre-service and in-service teacher training
  • School leadership and training
  • Curriculum and resource development
  • Learning design
  • Gender equity, disability, and social inclusion
  • ICTs in education
  • Education policy & governance
  • Economics of education
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Project management & coordination
  • Communications

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you have any of the below experience, skills, or interests:

  • Experience in delivering donor-funded education and training projects and working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for education and staying up-to-date with the latest learning theories and frameworks
  • Skills in high-level stakeholder management in diverse contexts.
  • The ability to gather information, drive changes, and improve program outcomes
  • Interest in building high-quality learning experiences for learners in remote and hard-to-reach communities

These roles are based in Solomon Islands. We have full-time, part-time, short-term, and longer-term opportunities. We are open to expressions of interest from people from Solomon Islands and international applicants with Solomon Islands or Pacific experience.

So, if you want to be ahead of the rest, let's start the conversation now. Apply today to join our talent community for secondary teacher training and education professionals.
