About Us:
The HALO Trust is a leading international nonprofit organization dedicated to the clearance of landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and other explosive remnants of war, including those from World War II. HALO began its operations in the Solomon Islands in June 2023 with the aim to support the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force in determining the full extent of the contamination that will pave the way to the removal and disposal of these items that cause several accidents every year. While mapping the contamination, HALO teams also educate the communities on safe behaviour. After the first full year of operations, HALO is looking to expand its existing operations in Guadalcanal and open a new fixed location in Munda to oversee work in the Western Province.
At HALO Trust Solomon Islands we’re passionate about integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and transparency, and making a positive impact. We’ve built a reputation for excellence and growth. Our team thrives on creativity, and we’re excited to welcome new talent to our family.
NOTE: Previous experience working for NGOs and/or in explosive ordnance disposal, while not required, is a strong asset for all the below positions and women are strongly encouraged to apply.
