SIG ICT in partnership with the Australian Solomon Islands Partnership for Governance (ASIP Gov) invites interested individuals who have recently completed studies in the field of Information Communications Technology (ICT) and/or individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in ICT, to apply for the SIG ICT Junior Professional Program for 2024.

Program Background

The Solomon Islands Government (SIG) and private industries face a critical need for skilled ICT professionals. The Junior Professional Program (JPP) aims to bridge this gap by cultivating Junior-level ICT talent.  The JPP is a comprehensive two-year initiative designed in 6-month learning cycles. It is tailored to provide a strong foundation in essential ICT skills and industry relevant knowledge through an online course program, blended training, workshops, and mentorship. Junior Professionals after completing the 6-month program may be recruited into the Public Service as ICT professionals.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Certificate, Diploma, or bachelor’s degree in ICT or related field from any university or rural training centers or at least one or two years’ work experience in any ICT related field
• Minimum: Form 6 with relevant experience and with an interest to pursue a career in IT
