We are currently seeking expressions of interest to join Woodford within our grounds crew personnel.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, grounds crew personnel are responsible for managing various landscaping duties for school and residential premises as part of the facilities team. They are skilled in horticulture, landscaping, and have an eye for design and beautification in regards to grounds keeping. Due to the nature of the work, ground crew personnel need to be very physical and able to perform a range of duties both indoors and outdoors. Moreover, while the job revolves around physical work, intellectual ability, especially when it comes to troubleshooting and problem solving, is paramount.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly perform landscaping duties and overall beautification of WIS premises
- Maintain the aesthetics of our properties, as well as leading in suggestions for improvement.
- Identify risks that may be associated with various plants (such as pruning limbs, etc)
- Repairing of grounds that are heavily used such as the field
- Repair equipment and various items needed for the job
- Suggest additional ideas and/or repairs when identified and needed
- Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract requirements
- Carry out tasks within specified time limits
- Ensure compliance to applicable codes, legislation and procedures including health and safety
- Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
- Contribute towards the efficient running of the team
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
