Social and Behavior Change Officer, NOB, Pacific Multi County Office, Honiara, Solomon Islands, #81592

The UNICEF Pacific Multi-Country Office is hiring a Social and Behavior Change Officer at the NOB level to be based in the UNICEF Pacific Office in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

How can you make a difference?
Under the general supervision of the Social and Behavior Change Specialist, Solomon Islands will be required to provide technical and operational support and is responsible communication, advocacy and social and behavior change activities.

A Summary of key functions/accountabilities is detailed below.

  1. Support to UNICEF Pacific communication, advocacy and communication for development strategies and work plans at country level.
  2. Advocacy, media management and partnership building.
  3. Support capacity building and systems strengthening initiatives.
  4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Knowledge management.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

  • A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, social and behavioral science or another related field is required.

Work Experience:

  • At least two years of professional experience is required in areas of communication, print and broadcast media, digital media, social and behavior change program planning, or related areas.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and local language is required.
