Summary of Duties
The Student Officer (Admission & Enrolment) plays a key role in coordinating the processes necessary for the admission and enrolment of students at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) each academic year. This position is dedicated to delivering high-quality services to students and addressing their academic well-being while ensuring the goals of the Academic Office are met through prompt responses to inquiries.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise the Admission & Enrolment team to ensure efficient operations.
- Assist in the admissions process, particularly in the selection of students for SINU.
- Support the Coordinator with the enrolment process each semester.
- Oversee the orientation programs for new students.
- Promotion and marketing of University programs.
- Provide student enrollment data for new and ongoing students as requested by the Manager of Student Academic Services (SAS), Senior Management, and Schools.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of Admission & Enrolment processes within Student Academic Services.
- Compile semester admission and enrolment statistics reports for the division. Please refer to the job description for more information.
Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Degree or diploma in Management, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience in a related environment.
- Proficient in working with student management systems.
- Proven ability to manage staff and enhance their performance.
- Strong administrative skills with a demonstrated ability to handle tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to providing effective and timely client service.

This is a full-time position with a contract term of five years, renewable based on performance and mutual agreement.
