Organization: Access Plus Ltd Role: Carpenter / Joiner

Key tasks to be performed.

• Carpentry works
• Making specific fittings or furniture from staircases to kitchen cabinets, signboards, etc etc
• Constructing shelving units
• Making timber frames
• Repairing and maintaining doors, door frames, windows etc
• Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs
• Estimating the materials needed for a job
• Drafting job briefs
• Managing production schedules and budgets
• Conducting quality checks
• Producing progress reports

Skills required for the role.

• Strong attention to detail
• High level of accuracy
• Quick learner
• Creative and good eye for design
• Able to work alone without guidance, and works efficiently as part of a team
• Patient and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Sensitivity and understanding
• High level of initiative, enthusiasm & self motivation

Experience required for the role.

• Furniture-making, building and construction
• Ability to carry out basic tasks on a machine or hand-held device.
• Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
• Cutting wood on machines or by hand

Qualification required.

• At least form 5 school certificate or higher
• Successful application might be required to provide a current Police clearance from RSIPF
