Purpose of the Role
Are you ready to embark on a dynamic career in the travel industry? As a Sales & Reservations Officer, you are on the front lines for the airline as the first point of contact for our customers, guiding them through their travel planning and booking experience domestically and internationally.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless booking process showcasing the best of Solomon Airlines customer care culture.

Key Responsibilities
1. Reservations and Ticketing:
- Handle reservations for domestic and international passengers via phone, email, and social media.
- Issue tickets accurately and efficiently for both domestic and international flights.
- Problem solve for the customer ensuring their travel requirements are met within the policies of the company
2. Customer Service:
- Provide detailed flight information, pro-forma invoices, and travel recommendations to customers.
- Assist passengers requiring multi-airline travel arrangements.
- Inform passengers of flight changes or cancellations and offer appropriate support.
3. Financial Responsibilities:
- Receipt cash payments and ensure all transactions balance at the end of each day.
- Submit balanced sales reports and funds to the cashier.
4. Communication and Coordination:
- Responding to direct and indirect customer communications and directing them to appropriate departments where applicable.
- Collaborate with the Operations Control Centre (OCC) on flight changes and cancellations utilizing the digital tools available to support the customer.
5. Additional Duties:
- Travel where required to support department requirements
- Support the Sales Supervisor in any assigned tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Actively contribute to the team’s goals and objectives.
- Support the implementation of the Commercial annual plan and Solomon Airlines strategic plan.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential Qualifications:
- Diploma-level education.
- High Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Customer service training and experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in data entry
- Leadership training and experience

- Able to travel when required
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer facing role is highly preferred.
- Experience within the travel industry
- Experience working collaboratively in small teams
