Job Title: People & Culture Lead

Job Overview:
The People & Culture Lead will assist and oversee the People & Culture department, with direct responsibility for managing and supporting the People & Culture team. This role will be pivotal in driving Bulkshop’s HR strategy, promoting a positive company culture, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices. The People & Culture Lead will collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and work to build a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. People & Culture Strategy Development:
    Lead the development and implementation of People & Culture strategies that align with Bulkshop’s mission and business objectives. Ensure that HR initiatives enhance the company culture, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  2. Team Leadership & Supervision:
    Supervise and support the Learning & Development Associate and Human Resources Associate, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to help them succeed in their roles.
  3. Employee Engagement & Retention:
    Develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention. Monitor employee satisfaction levels through surveys and feedback and recommend actions to address areas for improvement.
  4. Talent Development & Succession Planning:
    Oversee the development of talent management programs, including leadership development, succession planning, and career development opportunities for employees at all levels within the organization.
  5. HR Compliance & Policy Implementation:
    Ensure that all HR policies and practices comply with local labor laws, regulations, and best practices. Update and communicate policies as necessary, ensuring they are effectively implemented across the company.
  6. Performance Management & Recognition:
    Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback systems. Develop employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and maintain high levels of motivation and productivity.
  7. HR Analytics & Reporting:
    Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of HR data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement within the People & Culture function.
  8. Budget Management & Resource Allocation:
    Manage the HR budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across the department to support HR initiatives. Work with senior leadership to secure necessary funding for key HR projects and programs.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage a team. Proven ability to develop talent and foster a collaborative and high performance work environment.
  2. People & Culture Strategy:
    Expertise in developing and implementing people strategies that drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.
  3. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and build positive relationships.
  4. HR Knowledge & Compliance:
    In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations. Ability to ensure compliance across all HR functions and address any compliance gaps promptly.
  5. Data-Driven Decision Making:
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data, identify trends, and use insights to drive continuous improvement in HR programs and practices.
  6. Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution:
    Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to manage complex HR challenges and resolve employee relations issues effectively.

  7. Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (a master’s degree is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR or People & Culture management, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic HR program implementation.
  • Experience in managing HR teams, with a focus on performance management, employee engagement, and development.
  • Knowledge of local labor laws and best practices in HR management.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
