Job Overview:
The Human Resources Associate will support the People & Culture department by assisting in the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, and the administration of HR software and other system applications. This role will help ensure the efficient functioning of HR processes, promote a positive work environment, and contribute to the overall success of Bulkshop's HR strategies. The HR Associate will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with company goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they have the resources and information needed for a successful start.
2. Employee Records Management:
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring that all information is accurate, confidential, and compliant with relevant laws and company policies.
3. HR Compliance & Policy Support:
Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations. Help communicate HR policies to employees and support the implementation of these policies across the organization.
4. Benefits Administration:
Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management. Assist in processing claims and ensuring employees are informed about their benefits options.
5. Employee Relations:
Provide administrative support for employee relations initiatives, helping to resolve employee queries, assist in conflict resolution, and promote a positive work environment.
6. Performance Management Support:
Assist in the administration of performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews, providing support during evaluation periods, and maintaining records.
7. Training & Development Coordination:
Help organize and coordinate training and development programs, working with the Learning & Development team to ensure employees have access to relevant resources and opportunities for growth.
8. HR Software & System Administration:
Assist in the administration of HR software and other system applications used within the organization. Ensure that employee data is accurately inputted, maintained, and accessible within the system, and provide support for system troubleshooting and updates.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Experience):
1. HR Knowledge:
Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
2. HR Software & System Proficiency:
Experience with HR software (HRIS) and other system applications used for employee records, benefits administration, and performance management.
3. Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
4. Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
5. Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining employee records, processing benefits, and ensuring compliance with policies.
6. Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve HR-related issues promptly, using creative problem-solving techniques and a solutions-focused approach.
7. Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
- Familiarity with HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Experience with troubleshooting HR software issues or assisting with system administration is an advantage.
- Certification in Human Resources is a plus.
