The Climate Change Division of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management, and Meteorology (MECDM) is calling for interested applicants for the GHG Inventory Reporting and Institutional arrangement Expert, post for the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) Project.

Key tasks to be performed.
The GHG Inventory Reporting and Institutional arrangement Expert will engage, with close consultation with MECDM through the Climate Change Division and the relevant project stakeholders. Refer to the TOR for details of tasks to be performed.

Skills required for the role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent computer knowledge (MS Office, Internet, Excel)
  • Project management skills

Experience required

At least 5 years of experience or expertise in Project Management in the Solomon Islands and/or the Pacific Islands, particularly in GHG inventory projects or related sector. Experience in climate change, GHG reporting, coordination, stakeholder engagement and sustainable development related projects would be an advantage.

Qualification required.

Advanced University degree (bachelor's or master’s level) in fields related to climate change, environmental sciences with majors in Physics, natural resources, Environmental Engineering or any other related disciplines.
