Position Purpose:

Support, advise, and facilitate HR services and manage and maintain the organization HRMIS to enhance organizational performance and individual effectiveness in achieving the overall mission and goals of Solomon Telekom Company Ltd(STCL). Ensure aligning of HR processes, HRI systems, policies and procedures with STCL strategy and structure to increase productivity and delivery of services to the country.

Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the development of STCL HR strategy, priorities and annual plan in support of and in alignment with STCL Business strategies and priorities.
  • Strategic HR planning from a budgetary point of view to factor the costs of STCL’s operating budget (Opex).
  • Support Manager HR and Business Support in developing effective HR strategies and plans appropriate to their context in alignment with the Business strategies and priorities.
  • Act as the link and focal point for HR issues within STCL as a whole.
  • Collaborate with Business support services and other functions to ensure effective integration of HR policies, and procedures and a clear understanding of these are maintained by staff.
  • Support Departments on HRIS initiatives such as Performance management systems using the ZOHO software.
  • Responsible for Managing and administering the HRIS ZOHO.
  • Facilitate the documentation of HRIS best practices and contribute to providing excellence in services that are evident in internal audits.
  • Facilitate mutual learning between Departments within STCL by disseminating best practices in HR processes to stakeholders in these processes.
  • Module and support training opportunities.
  • Promote coaching and mentoring relationships between HR personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure optimal integration of HR strategy, plan, and implementation across all levels of the business.
  • Provide technical leadership, support, and guidance in Recruitment, and all other areas of HR, ensuring compliance to the systems, standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the establishment and use of databases and E-resources including good practices relating to HR as part of a wider knowledge management strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of at least 4 years’ experience in all areas of HR management, staff development, and HR interventions.
  • At least two years of HR work experience in private/commercial business areas, as well as direct experience working with multicultural teams and proven ability to develop people in a cross-cultural setting.
  • A thorough understanding of all areas in Human Resource Management and integration of each of these functions and Knowledge of STCL HR minimum standards and practices as well as Understand STCL governance structure and Corporate Governance Policy.
  • Has the ability to effectively use and navigate the features of a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to perform their HR tasks accurately, efficiently, and with a deep understanding of data analysis and reporting capabilities, allowing them to make informed decisions regarding employee management and workforce planning
