Employment Opportunity - Oil Palm Graduate Engineer Mill Cadets
New Britain Palm Oil Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the SD Guthrie) is the leading producer of Certified Sustainable Palm Oil in the Pacific Islands managing over 105,000 hectares of Oil Palm, Beef cattle and Sugar across its operations in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and the Solomon Islands.
The company seeks to appoint self-reliant, resourceful and dedicated University Engineer Graduates seeking an exciting & challenging career working in an expanding management team in GPPOL.
The successful applicants will undergo a period of intensive management & technical training as part of a NBPOL Management Mill/Engineer Cadet Training Program and will be placed at an NBPOL Mill for further on the job training at one of the NBPOL sites (In PNG and/or in Solomon Islands).
The company seeks suitably qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer graduates with the following attributes:
- Formal Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
- Acquired a final university year GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Be fit and willing to work in an Oil Palm Mill, Copra Mill or Oil Palm Refinery environment.
- Very good interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to continue to learn and to lead & manage a team of people.
- Personal qualities required – are disciplined, responsible, healthy, of sober habits & will work to company rules & policies.
- Is computer literate with intermediate level experience in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Age not more than 40 years old.
The NBPOL package includes:
