Title: Accounts & Billings Manager
Appointment Type: 1 Year Contract (Renewable; Following Three-Month Probation)
Reports To: Head of Finance & Administration

Position Summary
SATSOL is seeking a proactive, organised, and experienced Accounts & Billings Manager to oversee the accounts & billings of the company. This role involves supervising the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, ensuring all processes are adhered to and all month ends procedures are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
General

  • Supervision and co-ordination of duties of the Finance, Billings and Admin teams
  • Liaison with Head of Finance and Admin (HFA) in effecting inter-departmental operational and/or administration/financial issues.

Billing & Recurring Revenue Management

  • Oversee and optimize SATSOL’s recurring billing system for customers.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, revenue tracking, and payment processing.
  • Manage subscription-based revenue streams and customer billing cycles.
  • Monitor and optimize debt collection, payment reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensuring correct revenue and liability amounts calculated monthly and prepare journal for MYOB entries

Accounting & Financial Administration

  • The monitoring of data entry into MYOB on a daily basis to ensure month end deadlines are met
  • Ensuring compliance of accounting practices and correct codings are used
  • Liaison with IRD on tax filings – PAYE, Sales Tax, Witholding Tax, Company tax
  • Preparation of general ledger account reconciliation on regular basis
  • Reconciling all bank accounts within MYOB for SATSOL Limited and also reconciling subscriptions bank account with billings (Splynx) system on a monthly basis
  • Assist in transition of MYOB into XERO
  • Assist HFA with audits
  • Assist with accounting for inventory and regular stocktakes
  • Maintain current asset register
  • Assist with annual budget preparation

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Studies. (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Office applications
  • Expertise in accounting software like MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and tax administration
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Leadership experience managing financial teams
