NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI)

Social Behavior Change and Community Engagement – Post LLIN Distribution and LLIN Use Monitoring.

The Ministry of Health & Medical Services, in collaboration with World Vision Solomon Islands, invites locally registered Civil Society Organizations (CBOs) to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for short-term engagement in community awareness and monitoring of Long-lasting Insecticide treated Nets (LLINs).

Key Details

  • Activity Title: Post LLIN distribution – community awareness for social behavior changes and LLIN use monitoring
  • Location: Honiara (West, Central, East zones) and selected zones in Guadalcanal
  • Duration: 1 February 2026 – 28 February 2026 (15 days per zone including preparation, implementation, and reporting)
  • Reports to: World Vision Solomon Islands
  • Funding: Supported by the Global Fund Malaria Grant (2024–2026)

Purpose

The engagement aims to:

  • Enhance awareness on the benefits of LLIN use
  • Motivate regular household use and proper care of LLINs
  • Involve community groups in monitoring LLIN use
  • Collect household-level data to track LLIN usage

Responsibilities of Selected CBOs

  • Conduct community awareness sessions on LLIN use and care
  • Monitor household-level LLIN availability and usage
  • Consolidate findings and submit monitoring reports with feedback and analysis
  • Document success stories and provide quality photos of activities
  • Complete administrative requirements (forms, financial documents, reports)
  • Liaise with World Vision focal points and participate in orientation programs
  • Ensure compliance with Global Fund and World Vision safeguarding, anti-fraud, and anti-corruption policies

Application Requirements

Interested CBOs must submit:

  • Registration details (including tax exemption, if applicable)
  • Activity plan and methodology (specify zone(s) of interest)
  • Budget in SBD (overheads not to exceed 10%)
  • List of tools for community/household-level behavior change promotion
  • Capacity statement (maximum 2 pages)
  • Contact details of focal person(s)
  • Contribution from CBO to the intervention
  • Clear indication if applying for more than one zone
