Regional Recruitment Officer, Solomon Islands, Australian Volunteers Program

Join our Honiara Team! AVI is looking for a Program Officer to support the Australian Volunteers Program.
AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program supports skilled Australian volunteers to work alongside organisations to sustainably support capacity development of people, organisations and communities in various countries across the Pacific, Asia and Africa.
The Regional Recruitment Officer is responsible for delivery of a seamless volunteer recruitment service for the Australian Volunteers Program which effectively coordinates inputs from multiple sources within Australia, Solomon Islands and Kiribati to optimise candidate selection.
Position Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (eg management, business administration, human resources etc) and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in delivering recruitment services
- Experience working on international programs highly desirable
- Cross-cultural awareness, including an ability to work with people from varied cultural backgrounds
- Sound knowledge of, and commitment to the underpinning values, goals and objectives of the Australian Volunteers Program (AVP)
- Understanding of and commitment to AVI’s Vision and Values, Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health & Safety, Child Protection and Privacy principles
