Description:

I make and repair furniture with soft, padded textile covering features, such as armchairs, sofas and bedheads. This involves choosing, measuring, cutting, fitting and sewing fabric and leather materials.

Key tasks:

• Work with interior designers to coordinate fabrics, furnishings, patterns and colors.
• Repair frames, refinish exposed wood and mend fabrics.
• Adjust, stretch or replace webbing; replace padding or springs; secure furniture elements.
