Understanding your target audience is the key element of effective communication and market growth. With overload information circulated on the ground, reaching out to the right people with the right message is a game-changer. That's where audience research comes into play.
Audience research reveals who your audience truly is, their desires, pain points, and behaviors. Audience research provides you with tools to create engaging content. When your content resonates with your audience, it fosters a stronger connection. Engaged viewers and readers are more likely to interact with your content, share it, recommend it to others and become loyal followers.
With an immense experience on audience research and media communication, BBC Media Action plan to conduct a week of audience research training with interested partners. This training will appeal to those of you who require an understanding of research approaches and skills, and importantly an ability to deploy them in your studies or in your professional lives. We are especially looking for individuals with some background in social science, journalism, community engagement or research but would encourage applications from anyone who feels they have a keen interest and inquisitiveness to understand people and audiences and translate research findings into insights.
Following the training, there will be an opportunity for some participants to work with BBC Media Action on some short-term audience research studies in Solomon Islands.
The training will take place in January 8th – 12th 2024 and all interested individuals should contact Rosiana Eko, Research Manager at rosiana.eko@id.bbcmediaaction.org by December 15th, 2023. Please share an up-to-date CV, if you have one.
